Diabetes: Also called as diabetes mellitus, is the state where body cannot use blood glucose as energy because of the incapability to use insulin or due to too little insulin.

Type 1 diabetes: Type 1 diabetes, sometimes called juvenile diabetes, is most often diagnosed in childhood, and it happens when the pancreas no longer produces insulin, which regulates blood sugar levels.

Type 2 diabetes: The most common form of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is usually diagnosed in adults. People with type 2 diabetes still produce insulin but their bodies are unable to use it correctly.

Gestational Diabetes: Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes which affects pregnant women. It is believed that the hormones produced during pregnancy reduce a woman's receptivity to insulin, leading to high blood sugar levels.

Glucose:Sugar found in the blood that is the body's main source of energy.

Insulin: Insulin is a hormone which helps the bodies cells use blood sugar for energy.
